[resolved] Strikethrough on all url links (11 posts)

    I am not sure what changed, but all my sites were working fine, but now all of a sudden the url links in all my sites have strikethrough in them all. I disabled all the plugins to see which plugin was causing it, but it seems it isn't plugin related. Any ideas?

    Have you checked your CSS files? Look for text-decoration: line-through;, with or without the whitespace in between.

    Here's the CSS area of the file:

    /* RESET */
    html,body,div,span,applet,object,iframe,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,p,blockquote,pre,a,abbr,acronym,address,big,cite,code,del,dfn,em,font,img,ins,kbd,q,s,samp,strike,strong,sub,sup,tt,var,b,u,i,center,dl,dt,dd,ol,ul,li,fieldset,form,label,legend,table,caption,tbody,tfoot,thead,tr,th,td{margin:0;padding:0;border:0;outline:0;font-size:100%;vertical-align:baseline;background:transparent}body{line-height:1}ol,ul{list-style:none}blockquote,q{quotes:none}blockquote:before,blockquote:after,q:before,q:after{content:'';content:none}:focus{outline:0}ins{text-decoration:none}del{text-decoration:line-through}table{border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:0}a {text-decoration:none;}.nomargin-right {margin:0 !important;}

    It has {text-decoration:line-through}

    Do I just remove that section?

    Not sure if that's the cause. Other sites don't have that line, but have strikethrough.

    No, don't remove that one. It's not for links.

    Can you post your site URL so I can have a look?

    No strikethrough at all in any of the sites. Something must have gone wrong with your browser.

    Check under plugins to see if you have the "broken link checker' plugin installed. It automatically places strike throughs on links that are broken. Sometimes the plugin may think the link is broken when it's not. You can also manage these links and in the settings for this plugin you can tell it not to apply the strike through. That is my guess as to what might have been going on.

    I don't think it's the plugin. If it was then I should be able to see the strikethroughs.

    Your correct.

    I am using the new beta versions of browsers, and seems to be the latest Google Chrome beta version.

    Thanks for the help.

    You're welcome.

    Can you please put this as resolved? Thanks.
