• Hi Guys,

I’m pretty new to WordPress and I’m having a pretty strange issue with the path of my wp-content/uploads folder. I’ve run this one by some fellow WordPress gurus and no one has seen it before. I’m running WordPress on Windows server 2008 with IIS7, and my web root is in “C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress\”

The weird thing is that WordPress has created a wp-content folder directly on the root of the C drive and when I upload files they go to this new directory at “C:\wp-content\uploads”.

The “Store uploads in this folder” parameter in the Media settings of the site are still at the dedault “wp-content/uploads”. I’ve tried changing this around to test, and if I add an extra folder it will just create it in the “C:\wp-content\uploads” path. I also tried changing it to “inetpub/wwwroot/wordpress/wp-content/uploads” to see what would happen, but files just wouldn’t upload. I also checked out the related string in the MySQL database to make sure it’s reflecting what’s configured through the web GUI and it looks solid.

Has anyone run into something like this before? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks for reading,

    Gary
