[resolved] strange upgrade behaviour (5 posts)

My Dashboard has had a notice on it for a while saying to upgrade to wordpress 2.3.2

Today I decided to go for my usual one step upgrade - don't backup anything, don't disable plugins, just upload the files, overwrite and run the upgrade script. Yes its risky but thats me :)

So I overwrote the files on my FTP server, went to run the upgrade script ( wp-admin/upgrade.php ) and it said I am already up to date and no need to upgrade. Went back to the dashboard and the notice to upgrade to 2.3.2 has gone.

I check the version I am running and it is indeed now 2.3.2

Has anyone seen this behaviour before? I was under the impression that the upgrade would not occur unless you actually run the upgrade script.

Because there are no database changes, there is no need to install. You did everything right and as I hear it, everything went perfectly.

OH right, I didn't realise some versions did not need installing. All the other ones I did before needed installing IIRC.

Thanks for your help. Do you know what is new in this version? I looked for a changelog but could not find one.
