Strange redirect to rss feeds (4 posts)

So, from time to time, instead of showing a post, category, etc, the browser shows the rss feeds, it doesn`t redirect, the url remains the same...

I removed all the alternate links from the header but the issue is still there, so after a while I decided to move the whole installation to another server and the problem disappeared.

Have you ever encountered this problem?

    Thank you,

    Constantin

It sounds like a hosting/server problem to me.

It is definitely a hosting problem, as the problem does not persist on another server... but how can I explain this to the technicians?

There is no error on the logs, nothing.

There mightn't be anything in your error logs but there might be something in the hosts' logs. All I can suggest is that you take a screenshot if/when it next happens and ensure that the screenshot includes a readable url. Note the time so you can pass it onto the hosts. Also have a look in your raw access logs for the same time period and see if there's anything untoward in there.

At the very least you can pass it all onto the host and ask them to investigate. Although I haven't come across anything as bizarre as this, I have had a few occasions when a site has been behaving erratically or strangely and simply gathering the as much info as I could and passing it onto the host meant that they could quickly track it down to a server config problem.
