   my bottom header has suddenly decided to shift to the right of the page...how can i fix this...

   Looks like WordPress is trying to place the footer in teh sidebar. You may be missing the closing div mark within your sidebar.

   I don't know what bottom header is... but if you referred to the footer:
   http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Frandomthoughts.ianbethune.com%2F
   see the last error.
