   I'm working on a site that is almost complete but yesterday I came across a problem that I don't know how to fix or even how to try and fix.

   The masthead in the site is brown and the background in the logo is brown. Both have exactly the same HEX color.

   The masthead looks perfect in all browsers on a PC and on a MAC but I get two different colors when displayed in Internet Explorer 8. Everywhere else its fine.

   Has anyone seen this before or know how to fix it???

   Is the logo a png or a jpg?

   Its a PNG logo
   Would this have something to do with it????

   Yes. IE seems to have a problem with colors in png images. It's not normally noticeable until you place it on a background of the same color. Try converting the logo to a jpg.
