  • After reading a lot about hidden links in themes, I decided to take a look at what my homepage contained.

    I found that in every post, there is a commenad included

    <?php trackback_rdf(); ?>

    That produces this result

    <!--
    		<rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"
    				xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"
    				xmlns:trackback="http://madskills.com/public/xml/rss/module/trackback/">
    			<rdf:Description rdf:about="http://www.wisnaes.com/2007/08/10/welcome-to-the-google-show/"
        dc:identifier="http://www.wisnaes.com/2007/08/10/welcome-to-the-google-show/"
        dc:title="Welcome to the Google show!"
        trackback:ping="http://www.wisnaes.com/2007/08/10/welcome-to-the-google-show/trackback/" />
    </rdf:RDF>	-->

    The trackbacks etc. for my site – http://www.wisnaes.com – are fully understandable, but the links to purl.com and madskills.com are a bit strange. Why are they there? Why do I need them? As these appear on every post I make, they generate a lot of links back to these two sites.

    The madskills.com link is not even working. It gives a 404. And the other link give a homepage for PURL. No idea why I should sponsor that…

    Any comments and ideas are welcome!
