Stop IE9 going into compatibility mode (6 posts)

    Worked fine in FF but totally erratic in IE9 failing to progress sequentially through the photos.
    I wrote code to stop IE9 going into compatibility mode into the head of the page and it now works fine.

    BUT - doesn't work in IE8.
    In compatible mode it just loads a page with the photo but no "lightbox navigation."
    In standard mode it runs the lightbox navigation but goes from photo 1 to 3 to 9 before usually hanging!
    Don't you just love IE!!!

    A fix is in the pipeline. Gimme another day or so.

    Works fine in FF4 latest Safari, latest Google Chrome, IE9
    Doesn't work in IE8 and I don't have IE7 any more to try it.
    Doesn't work in Opera.

    Thank you for taking the time.

    Did you clear your browser cache and disable any cache on your blog while trying? (this guy claims IE8 works)
