Stop Google Analytics from recording my own visits (4 posts)

    Google Analytics' stats have been pretty unbalanced because of my visits being recorded. For example, I've been using Opera 9.5 alpha for actually browsing, and most of the Opera visits to my blog are of that version. There are even more Opera visits to my blog than Firefox visits.

    Is there any way I can stop Google Analytics to record my own visits to my blog so results are a little more reliable?

    Yep - and you do it from Google Analytics. Log in to GA and check out their Filter Manager on the main page.

    If you are using the Ultimate Google Analytics plugin or, ehm, dunno the name of the other nice one, you could turn off recording visits from logged-on users of a certain level.

    Ah, I was wondering what filters were for. Thanks! I've set a filter and I'll see how things go.

    @mendezki: I don't use Ultimate Google Analytics :/
