   Hello,

   I receive email each time a new user is registered to my blog, and this is getting very annoying. I don't remember where I enabled this feature when I was setting up WP. I have looked in my MySQL and the dashboard and I can't find where to deactivate this email notification thing. oh, it's ruining my life. Could you please help? Please help.

   Go under Settings/Discussion
   Middle of the page under discussion settings, it says:
   E-mail me whenever

   Uncheck whichever ones you don't want email for.

   This should solve your problem.

   The only two options next to "E-mail me whenever" are "Anyone posts a comment" and "A comment is held for moderation"...

   this is silly. seems like we cannot disable this feature?

   You can try this plugin:

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/register-plus/

   I used this about a year ago and it worked just fine. I do not know if it still works with the latest WordPress version.
