[resolved] Stop bbpress automatically adding network users as participants of subdomains (6 posts)

If bbpress is running on a subdomain, then it seems to be adding network users who visit the sub site to the sub site's users as participants - this includes the super-admin! Any idea how to stop this?

Under the Main Settings for Forums, everything is checked apart from:

Anonymous posting Allow guest users without accounts to create topics and replies

Auto role Automatically assign default role to new, registered users upon visiting the site.

(which are unchecked! And these have not been touched as they are the defaults.)

  2. Have you asked this on bbpress.org?

No, but no matter. It looks like I've found a bug.

The settings don't seem to take effect until I check the 'Auto role Automatically assign default role to new, registered users upon visiting the site' and then save, then uncheck and save again. Doing this seems to have stop users being automatically added.

  4. That would be something to tell bbPress :)

This looks like a bigger bug (probably only in multisite) than expected!

When I call the add_user_to_blog* function. It adds the current admin who is calling this function to ALL blogs as a participant!

*I am currently finishing off writing my own add user plugin (see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/create-local-users-in-each-subdomain?replies=26 ) so have to use this function.
