   Hi all,

   I am in a need of URGENT HELP here ... one hour ago, I suddenly lost my admin capability to make changes, my password was mistaken and I had to changed it. Now I got my new password, but I am not able to do anything since I only have users permission (not admin). I also noticed in my gmail inbox that I have received the following email:

   New user registration on your site KakiGateL:

   Username: slickdusky

   E-mail: slickdusky@gmail.com

   Can somebody please help me with this situation as am no longer able to work on my website (www.kakigatel.com). I am afraid that someone was able to hacked in to my account and will some how erase/delete my website ... Your immediate assistances are greatly appreciated!

   Your best bet (assuming it is a hack) would probably be -

   Use phpmyadmin to access your database. Locate the "slickdusky" account in your user list, and change the password as shown in " http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password " in the section "Through phpMyAdmin". This will allow you to log in as that user. See if that user has admin rights, and, if so, use the dashboard user area to change your normal admin account back to an administrator.

   Then backup your database / export your entries.

   It might then be worth starting over with a fresh install and re-importing your entries.
