All of a sudden now I get this message right at the top of the map, but the map pin never loads. I'm not talking about the first map, but the larger map you get one you click on the first one. The first one loads OK.

You can see it here at the bottom of this page ~ http://qloudpress.com/

The error message is half hidden at the top of the second map.

    Any ideas?

Hi, I don't see any errors or problems on the image map or the iframe one.

OK, I checked again with other browsers and you're right. Its obviously a problem either with Chrome or one of the Chrome plugins interfering. It should be easy enough to find out which, and when I do, I'll post it here so if it comes up again, you'll know what it is that's causing it.

There is one problem which remains, and I can see now on different page of the same site where I am using it [ http://qloudpress.com/contact/ ]. The UK address I have used creates the image map without problem, but the iframe map shows a locastion about 5,000 miles away in the US.

How can that be that one window is fine and the other not when they both, presumably, are working from the same input address?

I have been through all extensions one by one and cleared caches in between each twice over ~ and nada! It still does it. It appears not to like my browser ~ Chrome Version 30.0.1599.14 beta-m

I would still like to be able issue where the iframe map resolves to the wrong location though.

Yes both maps are created using the same address but apparently Google uses different engines for different map types :( . Solution is to write the address a bit differently, a bit more precise.

If you like the plugin please rate it, it helps us out a lot. Thank you.

I've used the correct postal address so not sure what you mean by "a bit differently, a bit more precise". Can you give me an example please?

If this is the problematic address - Kypeside Stables, Nether Kypeside, By Deadwaters, South Lanarkshire ML11 0JL, United Kingdom it doesn't give a unique location if you enter it on maps.google.com. So try to add or remove some details from it so that returns only one location when tested on maps.google.com.

OK, I have taken a slightly different approach and registered the business with Google Maps so that it can be found with its correct address.

Also, let me go back to the original problem I was having and still am but I think I now know what's wrong.

With the latest version of the Google Maps it should work fine in Chrome but the problem is when Google maps enables SSL, Chrome will block the Google Maps API (because its loaded via HTTP).

    Is there a work round?

That issue is going to be addressed in the next update.

Guys, its not really correct to mark this item as "resolved" since you didn't update the plugin yet.

Sorry, guys, but I just installed your latest update and the latest Chrome version and the problem still isn't fixed. The second map image displays "Loading..." for a while and then fails, just as before.

    Its definitely not fixed, yet.

I can't reproduce that issue on your site. Both maps load fine.

Not with Google Chrome they don't. The problem is still there.

I can't replicate the issue in Chrome or any other browser on multiple platforms. Create a screencast; otherwise I don't see a way to fix it.

This issue seems to be happening for me, as well. It had been working fine a couple of weeks ago when I went on vacation. When I got back, I updated the plugin and it isn't working. I didn't test it before updating the plugin. However, I also notice Chrome has updated some as well.

Works fine in FireFox and Safari. Completely hanging up in Chrome (primarily in the lightbox; the thumbnail view seems to be fine.)

Nothing rendering wise was changed in the plugin for a long time. Send a link to your site. It's impossible to say anything based on the description you provided.

I think you the "plugin author" are missing the point. Something out there changed and as a result this plugin stopped working in Chrome, so it was taking so long to get anywhere here I abandoned it and replaced it with a lightweight image which links directly to the new Google Maps. As a result the whole page loads faster of course, so for me at least, there's always a silver lining... 8^)

Glad you managed to find a solution that works for you.

I need to confirm the exact error described by Terence:
Lightbox Map hangs up loading. Widget Mp works fine.
For me it's also an phenomenon limited to Chrome.
Safari does it fine. I'm on Mac OS X with a clean new WP and Plugin Install and no other WP Plugins active.

Would be great if you'd provide a solution so that we wouldn't have to switch to another Plugin or other solution.

    Thanks!

As we have already said numerous times - we can't debug anything without being able to replicate the issue. For that we need a website URL, Chrome debugger log, recording of the issue or anything else besides "it doesn't work for me you should fix it".

Issue has been confirmed by Google on Chrome v30. We'll apply a fix as soon as it's possible.
