   I'm trying to make one of my posts a sticky. I check the "sticky box", yet it doesn't seem to work. Every time I write a new post it pushes the sticky post down, as though it wasn't a sticky at all. Suggestions?

   Which plugin ru using, for WP-sticky - check announements box, it will never puch ur sticky posts down, don't check on sticky box.

   From what I understand, WP 2.7 doesn't need a plugin for stickys. So why isn't it working?

   Does your theme do anything special in the Loop? A theme can ignore sticky posts, depending on how exactly it works. A properly written theme will handle them correctly.

   Try the default theme. Are they still sticky when using that? If so, then your theme is somehow causing the issue.

   What do you mean loop? How can I check the loop? And what exactly am I looking for there?
