• I am currently trying to convert a static webpage I developed awhile ago at http://ww2.coastal.edu/jcsteele/vista.html into a post for my wordpress blog at http://www.codefusion.org/

I initially just copied/pasted like I did with all the other pages on the site, but upon doing that and making any necessary adjustments, etc. and clicking on “save” the session freezes up (the browser, firefox on ubuntu 8.10 says waiting for data until it times out)….

I have also tried removing all the formatting, etc. my copying the data on the page to a text editor and then copying it back to wordpress – still the same results. I can use phpmyadmin to put the contents of the post into the specific database entry, however after doing this if I try to edit the post, change a tag, etc. i get the same session freezing as before.

I do have some specific software switches in the document, as well as some formatting and win32 path references that I thought might contain the problem…

is this a bug? or just my stupidity? I get the same exact results on my own wp installation and on my free wordpress.com blog…

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Did you try the “Paste as Plain Text” tool? Maybe delete everything out of the post using the HTML editor, rather than the Visual editor, and pasting your content back in as plain text.

If that doesn’t work, you must have some bit of code in there that TinyMCE doesn’t like…

Yes, I just tried it – same results.

Right now I am going to try and retype the entire document into wordpress and save frequently to see if I can narrow down the issue.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!

Maybe if you used a plugin to put your code in a box, it wouldn’t conflict with TinyMCE.
