[resolved] Static page set as home, but want to change this (5 posts)

    Hello,

I just started a new blog, and I had the option about what I wanted as the front page...posts or a static page. I chose static page, and have changed my mind. But that choice seems to be gone now.

    What do I do?

If I have to uninstall and reinstall, I can do that. I just don't know how. I haven't posted anything yet...I'm just getting the blog configured the way I want first.

    Thanks!

What do you mean by "gone"?
If going to Options > Reading what do you see?

When I go to Options> Reading it shows the following:

    "Blog Pages
    Show at most: _ posts

    Syndication Feeds
Show the most recent: _ posts
    For each article, show:
    _ Full text
    _ Summary

Note: If you use the <!--more--> feature, it will cut off posts in RSS feeds.

    Encoding for pages and feeds:
The character encoding you write your blog in (UTF-8 is recommended)

WordPress should compress articles (gzip) if browsers ask for them"

It used to allow me to set a different page for the main page. I'm having some other problems with WordPress ever since I tried to upload an image in a post on my other blog, http://www.crayonwriter.com. This new blog is under my same user name/account, and is http://www.marana-unwrapped.com, and is having similar issues.

I'm beginning to think I somehow messed up my WordPress account all together. Is that possible? For instance, the theme is now messed up on both, as far as I can tell.

    Thanks!

Yes, IF you have any Pages created in the Write > Write Page section.
You cannot "configure" an empty blog...

Ahhh! Thanks! That worked like a charm!

I have my other question about the theme of my other blog in another help topic (in "troubleshooting," and it's about a Sidebar issue. Will you be helping over there too, or can I ask you here?

Thanks so much again! One down...

    Theda K.
