    Hi
    How can I move up the right hand sidebar to meet the menu line.
    Also lift the contents of the main page up closer to the menu bar.
    http://www.greenlabpestcontrol.co.uk using child theme.

    Add this CSS to the bottom of your child theme's style.css file:

    .site-main .sidebar-container {
    	top: 0;
    }

    Also lift the contents of the main page up closer to the menu bar.

    The main contents have a padding of 40px at the top & bottom. You can adjust the padding with this CSS:
    .hentry {
       padding-top: 10px;
    }

    Of course, set the value to whatever you'd prefer.

    Thank you CrouchingBruin

    I could not see the relevant code in the parent 2013 style.css

    Your coding of course worked.

    I believe I need to start a new topic about joining the sidebar elements together top to bottom i.e. no main page colour between different sidebar blocks.

    Again thank you

    Hi,
    How can I join top to bottom the different widget boxes in right hand sidebar i.e. no main page colour between different sidebar blocks.

    Also change the background colour of the sidebar.

    If you use a web debugging tool like Firebug or Chrome Developer Tools, you'll be able to find the relevant CSS very quickly.

    How can I join top to bottom the different widget boxes in right hand sidebar i.e. no main page colour between different sidebar blocks.

    The widget class has a bottom margin of 24px, so if you add this CSS to the end of your child theme's style.css file, that should join the two widgets together:

    .widget {
       margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    Thank you again

    and in closing the thread the coding as you have shown is:

    .widget {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    .widget {background-color: #46ea89;}
