I'm setting up a wp3 blog and I want the static homepage. The links in the Archives widget keeps bringing me back to the static page instead of a filtered blog page.

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- resetting your permalinks to the default setting and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file?
