• Hi,
up to recently I had a template which could could display all posts under a category on a static page. Now, I have another, faster template, but it does not have this functionality.
The standard post type should pull the default category, right? However it does not.
I have tried a different template. I have changed permalinks. Deactivated and reactivated plugins. I have even changed the default category (settings, writing) and updated all posts, and re-installed wordpress. Nothing helped.
Does anyone have an idea how I could fix this? I guess it is not crucial, but it is bugging.
This is my site: http://www.imagesbycw.com/ and this should be the static blog page: http://www.imagesbycw.com/blogs/ instead of a category
I don’t know, maybe it is just too late and… time to shut down the computer 🙂
    Thanks you!

  • You can choose to display either your recent posts or a static page that you create. I think that issuing the static page as your homepage is possible regardless of plugin. go to dashboard / appearance / customize. you should find the option there.

What I meant was ‘regardless of the theme you use’.

    Thanks, LRigel.
That how I am switching between latest post and static page. And that way I can make any other static page as my homepage. Just not a static blog page.
Any other idea? I don’t know if at some point (I have had this site for a while) I changed something in the code. But if I did, I thought that that re-installing wp would fix that…
