Static Homepage and 404

I have a static homepage on my site, and for some reason, I’m getting a 404 error for that page occasionally when I visit the site. As in, the rest of the page shows up fine… the sidebar, header, etc. It’s just the static homepage portion that shows 404 sometimes.

Whenever the 404 error happens, I just delete the cache, and it goes back to normal. I can’t figure out a trigger for it, and it doesn’t seem to happen at any particular interval (it happened after a day one time, and after over a week another time, just as an example).

Any advice on how to get this to stop?
