   I am creating a static front page, using "home" as the page title. I followed the directions for creating a static front page from the codex here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

   My question is, when people come to 'mysite.com' will they see instead 'mysite.com/home'?

   Oh I just figured this out. 'mysite.com' does not display as 'mysite.com/home'.
