Hi rwitham,
Are you sure did you upload it to your hosting? If so, I think the problem is the file browser of your hosting provider.
You may ask their support for further information for this issue.
I hope this will help you
the page is not appearing in the file manager on my hosting site, where all the other pages do.
… do static home pages not appear as the other pages do
unless you create a special page template for the staic front page, the page will get generated dynamically with page.php and the page content from the database – there is no ‘physical’ page on the server which you could access with the file manager.
what other pages are you referring to?
Guys,
Thanks for your help, @alchymyth: that’s exactly what I wanted to know. I was referring to page templates that I’ve created that show in both the file manager and the WP editor. I had thought that the static home page would be as a separate file as it is editable separately in the interface, but now that I need to edit the code behind, I suppose I will just need to create a new home page template in my file manager and start that page from scratch?
Thanks
