Static Home Page in first menu position? (2 posts)

    I'm building a small site for a non-profit using the Simplex theme. The site has four static pages and then I'd like to have my posts render on a page I can call something like project updates. So the top menu would read, in this order: Home, About, Drop Sites, Volunteer, Updates, Contact Us.

    When I designate one of the static pages as the Front page, it doesn't change that page's order in the menu; it just opens on that page.

    Is there a way to remedy this? The codex addresses it briefly but I can't really understand what it's saying. Did I say I was new to WP? :-)

    Any help appreciated.

    The template tag, wp_page_menu(), was designed to do that. For example:

    <?php wp_page_menu('show_home=1' ); ?>
