I would like to have a static front page - (HOME) and a blog page called (BLOG). When I go to my website, the BLOG page comes up instead of the HOME page. For some reason it wont go to the HOME page. If i try to click on the HOME tab in the navigation bar, it will go to the BLOG page.
I have configured the settings in Settings-Reading to Static Front Page.
Front Page - HOME
Blog Page - BLOG
I have tried changing other pages on my website to the home page, but it will still go to the BLOG page.

Did you set up a new Home page and a new Blog page first? Does your theme include a home.php template file?
i used artisteer for the theme. I do not see a a home.php file. artisteer support said they were able to install it on their WP and it worked fine. I removed all plugins and still had the problem. it seems there is something making it go to the blog page no matter what I change the settings to.
If i remember correctly, it did work at the initial install, before I added the plugins.

Can you remember what plugins you installed? Could you manage to reset the plugins folder by phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
I was able to clear everything it worked. Thanks. I started to add back the plugins. I came across the same problem but was not sure at first which one was causing the problem. I think it is the Ajax Comments-Reply.

Amazing! I have been trying to figure this out for 2 days now. Immediately i deactivated the Ajax comments reply after reading this post, my home page came up. Thanks alot dfrajas.
