I have my front page set to static, yet from any other page on my site I am taken to the posts page.

Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Thanks

I'm assuming you mean the clicking on the "Home" menu link directs to the posts page. Check the link url in Appearance>Menus.

    Yes, sorry about my explanation.

I've checked the menus and the only place I see for a link is under "Custom Links." Under each page there is a checkbox to open link in new window/tab. There are check boxes for Navigation Label, Title Attribute, CSS Classes, Link Relationship, but not a specific place for a link that I can see.

In Appearance>Menus create a custom menu by clicking on the + tab on the top of the right column. Give your menu a name and click "Create Menu". Under "Theme Locations" assign your custom menu to the appropriate location. You should now be able to drag and reorder your links, edit the URL's, or add new pages to the menu.
