Im new to WP but Im starting to get the hang of it. I just got the static front page plugin and its working fine. What I want to do now is have my static front page, http://www.home.com and then have my blog at http://www.home.com/blog. I was going to follow the directions given here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

but worried that doing that might mess up my static front page setting. Will this occur? After giving my blog its own directory will that then mean that every page I created will be directed towards
    http://www.home.com/page1 or http://www.home.com/blog/page1.

Before I go forward with giving my blog its own directory I wanted to see if anyone knew of any problems I might run into.

I guess the title of that tutorial should be changed - it is misleading a lot of users. What is described there does the following:
    a) have WP installed in example.com/blog directory
    b) displaying the the blog at example.com

So, no, probably that's not what you are after.
