I started my WP site tonite. As soon as I did, I went to the dashboard and started adding a grade page and then unit pages under each grade page.
Well, now I have a 'Home' page at the top, but going to it, just says no categories. I've tried editing the 'grade' pages, to put them under the original 'home'page, but it says Parent Page- No Parent Page. Of course, the 'Main Page' is the page that doesn't have a long urls just a simple whatever.com
When I got to edit, this page isn't even in the 'edit' list. I just want to be able to 'find' this page without having to revert back to it was when I started. Is that possible?

You seem to have several things going on at once. Let's try to take one at a time. First, it would help if you posted a link to your site so we can see exactly what you are talking about.
Now, locate your 'home' page/post. Go to the dashboard and look under Posts->Edit. Is it there? If not, go to Pages->Edit. Is it there?
Where do your grade 'pages' appear - as Posts or Pages?

I just made a post, and it went here, so I guess I'm okay.
The grades show up as pages. Do you mind taking a look anyway- to see if I'll have any problems.
Also, I make games for this reading series- it won't be hard to upload and connect to them will it? Some of the newer games have more than 1 file.
If it's not hard- I did this site as a test- to see how hard it is to 'make'. How do I make a back up, so that I can reinstall on the main rtoa.us?

You might be able to use the Exclude Pages plugin to remove the second 'Home' link in your menu.
