Squarespace XML Problems

    Hello,

    I have exported an XML file from Squarespace 6, and I am trying to import it into WordPress.

    It starts to import but eventually times out. It is only 1.8MB.

    Have you had any problems related to this? Any idea of how to fix it?

    it is possible that you’re running out of memory. can you break your exports up into smaller chunks (on Squarespace) then import them in smaller batches?

    if not can you post the last few lines of your server apache error log it might help.

    I have used an XML splitter to make them as small as 1MB, but it won’t make them any smaller. Still doesn’t work.

    I get through the part where it asks if I want to import the user or assign to a current user. and I check the box to import all media and files. Then it starts, and just stays at that point.

    I have retried again, and it has been 1 1/2 hours and the browser is still “working” but no progress.
