Spoiler Scope for Entertainment

Hey, Sorry if this question has already been asked, I am a bit new here, but how would I go about setting up a spoiler scope for an entertainment website. For example:

At the homepage you could select that you have read X amount of books or y amount of movies, and then using that, people on your website could then only see certain posts or essays or certain parts of posts or essays so as not to be spoiled. Thanks for any help! 🙂
