Is it possible to have two different lists of archives in a sidebar?

I’ve looked at the various archive plug-ins, and I don’t think any of them will do what I want to do, which is to have the archives for the current year displayed by month while the archives for previous years are displayed as years. Then, if you clicked on a previous year link you would go to a page with that year’s posts displayed by month.

    Thanks.

    Jeremy

On that page is a template tag called get_archives() and a link to another called wp_get_archives(). There are also examples on how to use them to generate different template information.

Try experimenting with that. They can be used mutliple times in a sidebar.

Thanks. I’ll try that. But when I read the Codex entry for wp-get-archives I could not see an option for type=yearly.

Maybe I’ll find a way to declutter using the drop down list option.
