Hi there,
I'd like to add a 'splash-page' to a sites without installing WP in a seperate directory. How would I resolve that with the WP 'index' page?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

If you still want a blog, you can still use WordPress for your splash page.
Simply use your theme templates to do so with a different header, content, and footer. In your WordPress admin panel, under Reading, you would select your front page to be static and then use the drop down box to select which page.
If you are still going to have a blog, like a subpage, you create the page "blog" and in that Settings>Reading, select the blog page for your posts to appear.
Hi Blondishnet,
Yes, but what I'm wondering is: will the url structure not also be affected by this? I mean: I now have a CMS like setup using mainly pages, thus a url structure like "domain.com/products/product-x/". Will this not become "domain.com/blog/products/product-x/" when using this method?
Thanks for your reply!
Did you find a solution to this?
