Being using Spiffy for months. LOVE IT! Makes my work load much easier for managing the free seminars we give.

Upgrade to 1.3.0. Encounter the same problem described here..

    I apply the prescribed solution.

When I try to reactivate the plugin, I get

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘TYPE=MyISAM’ at line 9 on line: 1471

If I leave the page, and come back, the plugin seems to be active. And I can edit things again.

Is this cause for concern? I don’t know much about MySQL, but I hate ignoring warning light on the dash. 🙂

  • Hmm. The plugin does not set type to MyISAM explicitly, and I cannot find any reference in the WordPress core. The error is referring to a deprecated syntax of the MySQL statement.

Has the error gone away or does it still display?

Do you remember what version of the plugin were you using before the upgrade?

It only displays when I first toggle the plugin on.

    After that it seems fine.

If I turn the plugin of and back on again, it appears exactly once.

It seems harmless so far. . but I work in IT (among other things) and I hate mysterious error messages.

Like that dialog from the 3-Mile-Island review.

“The PORV was reading high, but normal.”

    “Excuse me?”

I’ve just been following along since 1.0.

I administer Windows and WordPress. I’m a stickler for keeping up to date.

Can you email me at support@sunnythemes.com? I would like to investigate further. It sounds like there is a syntax error on one of the statements that works on most servers but not yours.

To follow up, the issue was caused by the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin, and happened when any plugin was activated.
