Hi all,
I'm getting a error when trying to use the spell check feature in wordpress's admin panel. Basically, if I'm using the wysiwyg editor and trying to spell check a post, upon clicking the spell check button an error is displayed in the center of the page which states: "Error response: " and then proceeds to spit out the entire source code of the post page, inside the error frame. This includes everything from the opening DOCTYPE tag to the closing </html>. I'm using the latest version of wordpress (2.9.1). If anyone can shed some light as to what might be wrong I would appreciate the help! Thanks!
Hi,
Check with these options:
- Upgrade your wordrpess version
- Disable all the plugins
- Use this spell checking plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/spell-checker/
Thanks,
Shane G.
Hey Shane,
- I am already using the latest version of wordpress (2.9.1)
- I have disabled all plugins and still have the issue
- Your recommended plugin is almost 5 years and I'm not sure it would work with the latest version of wordpress.
I'm just looking for the default, built-in, spell checker to function normally. If you or anybody else has a fix or suggestions as to why the default spell checker is throwing an error (with the source of the post page as the error message) inside the admin panel, I would appreciate the help!
Thanks,
Crotty
