jasondunnI did some searching before posting this, because I was sure I couldn't be the only person having trouble with the spell checker in WP 2.1, but it seems I am.
I have a very basic install of WordPress 2.1 over at http://www.jasondunn.com. A few plugins, nothing fancy. But the spell checker is simply not working. I'll type a word that is an obvious mis-spelling ("dogg") and click on the spell check. It will process for a split second then say "no mis-spelled words". If I click the small arrow I see that Languages > English is selected. I notice that the button says "Toggle spell check" meaning, I think, that it's supposed to be a real-time, inline spell checker. Is that so? Then it's even more broken for me because it's not inline.
I almost feel like I'm missing a component or something - is there a library or something that needs to be on the server in order for this to work? I looked again at the install instructions and there's nothing that even mentions the word "spell check".
I'm completely baffled. Thanks for any help!
