Hello, I activated Spectrum for my hosted wordpress blog and the name Spectrum shows up where my blog title should be. How do I get rid of it? (in the simplest of terms :) I'm a non-techie) Thank you!

Posted 1 year ago #One other thing using the Spectrum theme is that my pages are listed in the sidebar and not horizontally at the top of the page. Can I change that? Thank you for your help!
I love the colors at the top of the page and the banners, so I'm trying to make this work for me.

You have that as image here
http://www.ritakuehnsblog.com/wp-content/themes/spectrum/images/logo.pngCreate your own logo same size and then replace logo.png keeping the same name.

Your pages are at top and the ones in side bar are categories and you have to many and you will not have room for all of them a bar at top unless you use it as sub menu and I do not know if your theme supports custom menus.
I see that you only have 440px for menu pages.

I clicked on the link that hold the spectrum logo, but there didn't seem to be a way to change it. I clicked on the image and nothing happens and I don't see any edit functions.I took the pages out of the sidebar, but I don't think I can change the pages across the top. So thanks for checking on that one.
(I also noticed that the widgets don't display in the order that I have them on the edit page. For instance, I want the "quote of the day" to be the first item, and have it at the top of the sidebar in edits, but it displays on the blog further down the sidebar.
Perhaps this theme is not one that I can use?

You need to log in using ftp and browse wp-content/themes/spectrum/images/logo.png
replace logo.png with your own logo You do not need change any code.(I also noticed that the widgets don't display in the order that I have them on the edit page. You should be able to drag them in the order you want them.

Posted 1 year ago #Hi Govpatel, thank you so much for your help, I really have appreciated it! I think I'll try to find a different theme - I don't know how to use ftp, or even log in to it. Also, I have tried, in my dashboard, to drag the widgets around on the sidebar and when I refresh the page, nothing happens. Thanks anyway for your help!

Ok let me know if you need any other help it would best if you learn how to use ftp and server as it will be handy in future.

Posted 8 months ago #I managed to remove the sidebar on my pages in editor and now I would like it back and can't remember where I made the change. My url is: http://www.wilkersonesl.com.
I thought that the side bar was too busy but maybe I can remove some of the categories.
