Specify template for custom post archive page

    I am using the Weaver II theme and Woocommerce plugin. The documentation for Woocommerce says that the ‘Shop’ page is actually an archive page of custom posts (product) and should use the
    \wp-content\plugins\woocommerce\templates\archive-product.php template.
    I have a static home page with 3 columns, and I installed the Reveal Template plugin to tell me which template is being used.

    The Shop page is using wp-content\themes\weaver-ii\archive.php instead.
    I switched to a Woocommerce theme, and tried changing the template in the page editing screen, yet the same thing happens – it uses the theme’s archive.php template instead of the plugin’s archive-product.php template.
    How do I change this?
