Specific Theme

I know this is a lame question, but I have been looking for multiple days now.

I am looking for a simple theme that a) does not look like a blog, in other words, I am not a fan of the themes that have a layout set on top of a grey box (double layer look)and one where I can have the navigation page either horizontal at the top or vertical on a left sidebar. Also, I would like to be able to put my picture either at the top or left. Any help would be really appreciated.

Most themes I find are way too fancy
