I can't seem to find the answer to this question during my searches:
I want to have a master post, that is on the top of all other posts on the front page only. I have found the Static front page plugin, but that makes the post the only post on the page. I also looked at the 'Opt-in front page plugin' but that doesn't control the order of the posts (or just one master one. I would like a small 'about the site' to be above all the other posts. Should I put this in the header? Will this make it show up on all pages though? I used Mambo a few yeas ago and loved the 'front page' checkbox that you could choose (and you could modify the order). I would love to find something similar with WP.
