Specific event details possible?

    I’ve recently discovered this plugin and have been looking into its functionalities and running some tests with it.

    This seems to be out of scope for the plugin currently (or I don’t figure it out) but I wonder if it would be possible to implement more detailed event statistics. What I mean with this:

    Say we have an ice hockey game. We want to input statistics from the event like this (a very rough example):
    time type desc team scored assist
    02:35 goal PP team1 player1 player2
    12:23 penalty 2min team2 player3
    add another row

    And so on… do you get what i mean? This seems to be completely different approach to what is currently done with the plugin and I wonder if this is possible at all.

    @aatospaja Thanks for checking out SportsPress! We are actually working on a pro feature called “Highlights”. Highlights will link with the current Player Performance table, with the ability to add and display play-by-play performance within each event.

    I’ll definitely keep you posted about this feature.

    Thanks for checking in! Any ETA for the feature?

    I don’t know if you are familiar with Advanced Custom Fields plugin that makes it a breeze to work with all kinds of custom fields. It can also be included within plugins.

    ACF has a feature called repeater field which if utilized within sportspress would be just perfect for the job.

    ACF is a fantastic plugin! In fact, we use it on our main site as well 🙂

    Although we’ve already developed an interface for the highlights feature, I’ll definitely look into the repeater field function and see if we can adapt some of it to further improve this feature.

    We don’t have an ETA yet, but are aiming to release this month. I’ll keep you posted 🙂

    @eliytres we’ve just launched the Pro version of SportsPress, which includes some additional features. Event highlights will be added in the next update of Pro.
