Just upgraded to WordPress 2, hung onto my 1.5 .htaccess file for the permalinks (had some custom feedburner stuff in there)
Everything works fine *except* one specific category archive gives the WordPress 404 error (not the server one).
eg. /blog/archives/category/mac/ - (and all the other categories) works fine
/blog/archives/category/blogging/ - returns a wordpress 404. I cannot find the root of this problem, have been tinkering with .htaccess for ages.
Can anyone suggest where to look for this problem?
I also have the same problem.
Every category works fine, just except one called "Bloggat" (gives a 404 error).

I think I may have narrowed down this problem.
It seems that my rewrite base is /blog/ and any post or category that has "blog" at the start of its slug just returns a WordPress 404 (not server).
I tested this by creating a new post just called "blog" and found the same behaviour.
I think this might be a WordPress bug that the developers need to investigate?

I'm having exactly the same issue and like David I'm using /blog as my base category.. I'll go and poke my rewrite rules a bit to see if it's something blatantly obvious.

Has anyone fixed this? I my wordpress install is at /blog/ and my category at /blog/categories/blogging/ is giving me a 404 error. Help! I'm on WP 2.0.
