• Hi there,

I’ve searched around, but couldn’t find a solution to my very problem.

I’ve created a website using WordPress, hosted on a regular server (= not on a free host such as wordpress.com).

Special characters such as ü show up as cyrilic characters on my HP laptop running XP Pro English SP2.

The blog’s database is set to utf8-general and, when I look at the source code, the charset generated by WordPress’ “bloginfo” PHP string, is also utf-8.

This problem does not occur on my desktop.

It does with any browser on my laptop.

More surprising: if I copy a piece of text with these cyrilic characters and paste it somewhere else, the pasted characters are correct…

I would just like to make sure that the site displays correctly on any computer.

    Thanks for any help
    Ant
