special categories or fields possible?

    Let’s say I have my usual categories, which are displayed in the main content area, but I’d like one or two other categories, which aren’t in that area, but in an individual block somewhere else on the site, i.e. a “link of the moment” or “quotes” block within the sidebar. Is that possible with WP?
