   Hello,

   I really need help with spams, daily foreach article in my blog there are about 15 - 20 new spam-comments

   Iam really tired , the spam system in wordpress is working ok with quality of 95% ..

   but the real problem, the database has about 1200 comments, and the real comments is about 40 or 50 only !

   this makes the working with the databse harder, and I guess in few weeks it will be 10,000 comments or something and growing ..

   I didn't publish my blog anywhere .. also, my blog is " arabic " and iam getting " english " comments for " english " websites ..

   and Iam just asking :

   1- what caused this ?
   * I had trackback for ONE website, and I already removed it because I thought it might be the reason !

   2- what's the solution ?

   Spam Karma 2
   Bad Behavior
   Install all three.

   You can google for them.

   Yeah... Spam Karma ROCKS..... and can be 'taught' what to look for.... along with the blacklist, etc.

   Nah, Bad Behavior 'rocks'. It's the one that doesn't cost cycles. I add Akismet and I'm cozy.

   Akismet and Bad Behavior are enough.

   Spam Karma has a lot of functionality and features, but requires too much hand-holding and maintenance, IMO.

   Bad Behavior is literally activate and forget it. No adjustment or hand holding needed at all. 80-90% of your spam just stops showing up, just like that. Very nice.

   Akismet is pretty much the same, except that you want to check what's in the spam list every couple of weeks. But even if you don't, then it'll delete the spam by itself after a while.

   Akismet has always worked great for me. I have it installed on all my WordPress sites. It catches 99.999% of the spam for me.
