   Hey all, recently my comments section of my blog has been overloaded with spam and I cant control it any more. I use the updated version of Bad Behavior and it blocks some of it but I have over 5,000 comments of spam on my blog. Any suggestions? Thank you

   Akismet plugin works fine for me. Blocks around 99% os spam.

   Ya I went ahead and loaded that. Hope that works. Now I need to figure out how to delete the 5,000 spam comments riddled throughout my blog. Any ideas cause its going to take me a long time to spam 20 at a time

   This is more a question to WP gurus, and I'm not the one.
   One way I can think of is to craft custom SQL query that will delete comments based on some common attribute - email, domain, comment text, etc. You will need to backup your databases of course.
