   Spam links show up at the bottom of the website *and* at the very end of my RSS feed - which break the feed.

   I've looked around the forums, and people seem to be solving this by finding the spot in the PHP templates that's been hacked: I've looked in every file, and can't find a thing.

   I've also checked the site itself for new files, or files that have been modified *after* I last went in ... nothing there either.

   So I'm stumped.

   Any other theories about the source of this crap?

   (I know, it's my own fault for not upgrading. I'm going to do that the second I figure this out.)

   Connections Reloaded, but a very worked-over version.

   Turns out the thing to do was simply UPGRADE!

   They'd apparently hacked a file in such a way that my inexpert eyes couldn't tell, but replacing the whole set with shiny new ones took care of it.

   I'd thought that I should figure out the problem first, but - wrong.

   New industrial-strength password in place, and all seems to be well.
