   can someone help to

   understand how to

   pull down my miserable wordpress blog

   before spam eats my brain...

   my experience with my blog

   has been an unbelieveable disaster of spam

   and even though i tryied to find a way

   to "no comment" the blog

   spammers evidentally have hacked thru the wordpress

   system (i am sure this is very old news..)

   how do i pull my blog?

   I'm no expert at this, and haven't had a lot of spam, but what I'd do:

   1. Install the Extended comment options plugin and turn the comments off, all at once
   2. Get rid of the spam (do you use Akismet, Bad Behavior, Spam Karma? You can run them at the same time.)
   3. Update WordPress

   In any case, don't update before deleting all spam.

   First, for others who might use SEARCH and find this post, let me offer a common response:

   Install and activate Akismet or Spam Karma 2. Then install and activate Bad Behavior.

   You want to take down WordPress? How about deleting the files in your blogs directory and then removing the database via phpMyAdmin? That's how I'd do it at any rate.
