   We seem to have got spammed whereby unwanted pages or in the least page URLs have been created without our knowledge.

   How do we deal with these and does it mean that wordpress basic set up is compromised?

   that doesn't sound good - but can you supply more details?

   Looking at our statistics records, we noticed this type of construct:

   http://www.examplesite.com/1-cars-auto-classifieds/make-Bobbie+Kar,/listings.html

   or

   http://www.examplesite.com/make-Goggomobil,/listings.html

   and several others of a similar construct.

   Note the comma on each URL.

   Each URL render an error 404 and is attached to no content that is contained in our database.

   what are your thoughts?
