• Okay, this might seem like a stupid question – but how come WordPress will not register a post that has spaces between paragraphs?

    Sometimes it does, most of the time it does not.

    In the real world, essays and papers and everything written usually is broken up by indented and split paragraphs. Not one big ugly wall of text that no literate person could read through.

    So wtf wordpress? Why is this simple function so difficult to make happen?! Basic forums are capable of understanding the simple need to space between paragraphs. Even this forum should

    So why not wordpress? If I want to keep content in a single paragraph, I won’t space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The spacing between paragraphs is governed by your theme’s stylesheet.

    Some people just place a return in the Visual field or <p></p> in the HTML field of the their Admin area of their WordPress site. This generates a space that has little control over its vertical size.

    The better way is to locate the CSS styling block for your paragraphs and apple and adjust margin-bottom: x%;

    Hope this is of some use.

    If you feel comfortable posting a link to your site, or at least with telling us what theme you are using, someone might be able to be very specific about what you need to change in your style sheet to improve/increase the space between your paragraphs.
