• Hi,

    I got a problem with the sorting options area at the top of the property listings. I put [fsrep-filter type=”city” map=”no” value=”22″] in the homepage. The filter works and it displayed the right properties but the problem is when I click and select the sorting options at the top, it brings me to the blog page of the website. What’s wrong? Can I just remove the sorting area at the top? How will I fix this?

    Please look at the website homepage and try to select in the dropdown on the options Sort by:

    Thanks in advance folks!
    I hope somebody knew how to fix this will help me.

    Thank you.

  • I have been having the same problem since the program was updated to 2.7 earlier in 2013. I saw a readme.txt file that said if you go in and edit->update all the listings this is fixed but it did not work. So, I ftp’d into the site, downloaded the common-functions.php file (renamed the one online to common-functions.php.sav) and commented out lines starting with:

    if ($FSREPconfig[‘DisablePageSorting’] == 0 && $ListingSorting == TRUE) and ending with
    $PageContent .= ‘ </form></div>’;
    }

    And it took it off. For me this amounted to starting at line 2505 and ending at line 2593.

    There is an ongoing problem with the filters. Support does not seem to exist for this plugin. I have been waiting for over 2 weeks to get a response from the developer.

    Hi giraffeweb,

    How to ftp into the site and download the common-functions.php? Where will I go? Please teach me. I can’t find it on the control panel of the hosting website.

    It is located in the wp-content/plugins/fs-real-estate-plugin folder. However, I just noticed a problem that it now only shows the first page of listings and there are no links at the bottom of the page to the rest next pages of listings. I need to look closer at the code and see what controls this.

    Also, I didn’t think the filters worked at all unless you upgrade to PRO? I tried to upgrade to PRO earlier in the year and finally there is a PRO version but I cannot tell if it is a monthly fee or one-time fee.

    Hello giraffeweb,

    So, do you mean that if we upgrade to pro, it will be fix? How much did you pay? Thank you for your replies. I appreciate it.

    Hey everyone, sorry for the delay. The latest version includes some fixes for listing sorting. This is now part of the PRO extension so you will need to be using the latest version of the plugin (2.7.11) and PRO extension (1.4). Let me know if you still face issues as I added in some debugging tools to better help me find issues.
