Sorting Next Gen Gallery?

    Hi all,

    I searched on the forums but couldn’t find an answer to this, hopfully I’m not re-posting. I am using WP 2.8.4 with Next Gen Gallery. All is working fine, I am using multiple albums and galleries. I am wondering if there is a way to manually choose the image order within the galleries? An example would be: Say I have 5 photos in a gallery, I add a new photo but want the new photo to be the first in the gallery image order.

    Took me a while to find this too, but it’s actually very simple:

    – Go to Manage Galleries
    – Choose the gallery you want to re-order
    – Click the “Sort gallery” button above the list of images
    – Drag and drop the images to the order you want
    – Click “Update sort order”

    Thanks so much fyankai! That works perfectly! At first I had no ‘Sort Gallery’ button, thanks to tronics in another forum post I learned:

    in Options set “Sort Order” to “custom order”.
    The button is then visible in “Manage Galleries”.

    I have my settings this way but when I do the custom sort then click “Update Sort Order” the pictures go back to how they were sorted.

    So, I had to change the “Alt / Title text” sorting which works.

    Anyone else having issues with the custom sort working?

    I’m on WP 2.8.4, NextGEN 1.3.5
